Involved Solutions has partnered on an exciting greenfield build in the UAE, and we're hiring a Product Owner to lead the Financial Crime & Compliance workstream from the ground up. This covers onboarding and KYC, transaction monitoring, sanctions and watchlist screening, fraud detection, and case management, and it's one of the earliest pieces of infrastructure that needs to land.We're looking for someone who has genuinely built these products before rather than inherited and maintained them, and who can move comfortably between compliance and risk conversations and technical delivery discussions.About the role:Own the product direction, working closely with the business lead to decide what gets built and in what orderRun the requirements process from end to end, taking domain input and turning it into clear, buildable specsLead delivery of the onboarding and screening capability, including KYC/CDD, sanctions and PEP screening, watchlist management, and risk-rating logicOwn the monitoring and investigation capability, including transaction monitoring, fraud alerting, and regulatory reporting workflowsWork across engineering, design, operations, risk, and compliance to manage dependencies and keep delivery on trackReport progress and flag risk at senior stakeholder levelContract role initially to May 2027, with strong likelihood of a further 12-month extension About you:10+ years' experience, having built a product like this from scratch or through a major overhaul, in areas like onboarding, screening, monitoring, or case managementExperience coordinating delivery across engineering, operations, risk, and compliance in a banking or fintech settingConfident pushing back on senior stakeholders, including second-line risk and compliance functionsTechnically literate enough to challenge an engineering team on APIs, event-driven systems, or rules engines, without needing to write code yourselfBackground in AML, fraud, sanctions, KYC, or regulatory compliance product work; vendor platform exposure (e.g. Actimize, SAS, Quantexa, ComplyAdvantage, Napier, Featurespace) is a plusUAE/GCC regulatory familiarity (CBUAE, goAML) useful but not essentialComfortable building in ambiguity rather than optimising something that already exists
