Director of Enterprise Platforms & Integration - Contract - 6 MonthsRate: Up to £950 per dayIR35: InsideDuration: 6 MonthsLocation: RemoteThe role:A Leading Central Government Institution are seeking a Director of Enterprise Platforms & Integration, to play a pivotal role in ensuring that group programmes are shaped, incepted and delivered to ensure they integrate with the future state IT reference architecture and design to operate principles.This is an initial 6-month contract, Inside IR35 and offering remote working.Experience requirements & Responsibilities:Proven experience in senior leadership roles within IT programme delivery, preferably in complex and fast-paced environments.Strong understanding of IT project management methodologies, governance frameworks, and industry best practices.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence a diverse range of stakeholders.Demonstrable ability to drive change and innovation, with a focus on continuous improvement and optimisation.Act as a point of confluence for IT delivery across the change portfolios you will influence and oversight the strategic execution of IT related delivery in major projects and programmes.Leadership and Oversight: Lead and oversee the group IT Digital delivery management community, providing guidance and direction to ensure alignment with organisational goals and objectives.Direct leadership of User Researchers, UCD consultants, Agile BAs and Service Designers.Prioritisation and Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritise IT requirements on major programmes, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to deliver impactful results.Structural Design and Optimisation: Shape the structure of IT delivery teams across major programmes, optimising team composition and capabilities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.Take a lead role in the governance of Group programmes representing IT at strategic boards.Governance and Standards: In conjunction with Enterprise Architecture own and iterate IT delivery governance, standards, and practices, ensuring adherence to industry government functional standards, best practices for service design, delivery and integration as well as applicable regulatory requirements.Optimise the spending and procurement across programme to foster better business processes, leveraging investments in integration.Integration by Design: Drive integration by design principles across IT initiatives, ensuring seamless connectivity, consumer centred optimisation and interoperability between systems and applications. Essential skills:Previous experience in a managerial or leadership role in IT.Proven experience working in an Azure environment, with proficiency in Azure services and management tools.Strong troubleshooting skills and experience resolving issues related to the Office 365 suite.Ability to diagnose hardware issues and determine hardware fitness for purpose.Knowledge of firewalls, switches, routers, and access points, with experience in network configuration and troubleshooting.Familiarity with ITIL principles and experience working in an ITIL environment; ITIL certification is a significant advantage.
